About Coach Sarah
My name is Sarah Stults. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT. I am the youngest of three girls. I started formal training in dance at age six in competitive studios. In high school I was a three year member of my school’s dance company. I was also a varsity song leader for two years and served as co-captain my senior year. My school competed nationally through the USA program and consistently ranked in the top five in the nation with large varsity coed cheer and small varsity song.
I earned my BA in Dance Education from Brigham Young University where I was a member of the school’s dancEnsemble and Kinnect performing groups. I earned my MA in Secondary Education: Curriculum and Instruction from San Diego State University.
I taught dance for seven years at Hoover Middle School in San Jose, CA. I served as the competitive dance coach for the school’s dance team, Dance Evolution. My duties included auditions, rehearsals, choreography, and fundraising. In addition to school and community performances, Dance Evolution competed in regional competitions and traveled to Southern California for performances and workshops at the Disneyland Resort.
I taught dance for three years at Christopher High School in Gilroy, CA. There I revived the school’s competitive dance team, Company C, for two years. In addition to competing in regional competitions, I twice orchestrated the team in attending the Contest of Champions National Dance Competition in Orlando, FL.
Due to the onset of COVID-19 and other extenuating circumstances, I took time away from teaching dance to begin my career in administrative assisting. I currently serve as the administrative assistant to the fundraisers of LifeMoves. Dance has been a significant part of my life for many years, and I hope to bring my passion, dedication, and experience to building the dance team at Westmont High School.

Besides dance, I love reading, traveling, watching movies, and spending time with my family. I am a huge fan of the Golden State Warriors, so now I am very excited to be part of the Westmont Warriors family!
